If you dump too much into your defense, you'll barely have any supply left for artillery barages or units. And so does your infantry, as well as your artillery. So what's the problem? Well defenses costs supply. Trenches stay throughout the game, making them progressively more fortified. Building defenses can only be done in the preparation fase, and then they are anchored. ![]() You can utilize trenches, machine guns, mortars and barbed wire. The defenses are very varied, which is a plus. This makes storming even harder, because they'll be shot while fumbling out of the trench, walking back and forwards, getting stuck on everything. Your units are clumsy, and barely ever go where they are told to.
